What is Your experience with a Law of Attraction?

Do like that Law of Attraction exists? If Yes, what is Your personal experience?

    Well Neophonic,

About two years ago, I was faced with quite a lost, fired from a job. everything just started to fall out of order, I felt like everything around me was falling to pieces, and I just couldn't find a foothold. It was my very first experience of something like that. Feeling truly helpless, but, I saw a movie called  THE SECRET. I am sure you have heard of that movie.

Well anyways I watched that movie and something about me changed and I eventually stopped focusing on what I lost. Instead I started to focus on what I gained. I gained the knowledge to look at the positives in life, I learned that I couldn't lay around and wait for a miracle to happen. I had to create a miracle, do the impossible, which was learn to be self-employed, Learn what It took to be an entrepreneur.

Since then, my life has come from losing everything , to now getting the things back, that I lost. It has been a slow process, but, now my life is coming back in order. Thanks to what I learned about the law of attraction,

    TDM

I'm not sure if I have much of a gravitational pull, but every so often, I think I attract spiders while I sleep... and they bite me!

I have a number of hubs on this exact matter.  If you'd care to jump over to my profile & check them out smile

In short ~ yes, it does exist. It is very real.

If I had to pick a single example out of the millions in my life...hmmmm... let me think:

I wanted to be a stay at home mom & hubby wanted me to go get a job, when I started looking my van broke & I was unable to do what he wanted, so I was literally forced to stay home like I wanted.

I wanted to show the birds to my toddler out the window.  They were all pretty far away in the yard.  I wanted him to have a closer look, but how? Wild birds don't tend to fly too close to people.  In less than a minute a chickadee came flying right up to the window.  Super close & my toddler got a fantastic view of it.

I wanted to earn money from writing.  Mainly I have a book I'm working on in the editing phase.  I wanted my income to come from a way for me to still stay home.  I had forgotten all about HP, until I really started longing for an income to come from writing.  Wham, I remembered about HP and in less than a couple of months of being back I'll be getting my first payout soon & my traffic and income keep increasing.  So, not only will I be getting paid from here, I'll also be getting an at home income when my book is finished.

Alright, it was more than a single example... I'm kinda wordy, which is why writing is so perfect for me smile

"What is Your experience with a Law of Attraction?"  It's a big fat liar.  But up until I come to that realization in a relationship, it can be pretty fun.

I find that instead of there being a law of attraction, we may just focus in on what we want or need. We may notice things that we did not before and take risks we did not take before.

I agree... be positive and focus your efforts on attaining what you want out of life... and there's a high probability you will get it? No Way! How did someone figure that out? o.O

I truly believe in the law of attraction. It is a very old premise and probably didn't have a name but it is successful. Using as simple an example as smiling at people and seeing what happens, you can see how well it works! I first became consciously aware when I read "The Secret" about 7 years ago. I found that practicing the law of attraction wasn't always easy or natural. Sometimes you really have to have to work on it. It is our natural tendency to say things like "I will not trip in these high heels" instead of "I will walk confidently across the room in my new shoes" When I am physically working towards positive goals, they manifest before me but sometimes I slip, get caught up in my old ways, worrying and being negative. The best part about the practicing the law of attraction is that you can work in the positive any time!

I have spent a great deal of time studying the philosophy of Law of Attraction. Intellectually, I believe in it firmly. However, I think there is a fundamental spiritual element that is tough to overcome for total success in the law - and that is complete and total faith that IT IS DONE. Whatever you intend - it is done. I personally just cannot help but keep looking over my shoulder and asking "Is it done yet? - Is it done yet?" This is not faith unfortunately but doubt (which is not a working element in the Law of Attraction.) I have had a couple of small but extremely inspiring demonstrations of the Law of Attraction though. Last summer, before I moved, I very rarely got to see a hummingbird. After living in my last home for over 20 years, I had probably only seen 2. After reading Richard Bach's "Illusions: The Adventures of the Reluctant Messiah" - I was so inspired I just determined I WOULD see a hummingbird. I pictured the exact place it would show up on my deck and visualized it several times - then declared it was done and I let it go. About a week later, it happened exactly as I visioned it. It literally took my breath away. I was stunned.

I believe all four Universal laws work and if one is willing to practice them, pay attention and observe ones surroundings you will see that the first three 'attraction', 'intention' and 'allowance' when practiced in harmony create 'balance'.

For mankind to create a New Paradigm closer to the heart and step out of the old power structure we need merely form this new way of life in our minds eye (pineal gland)http://somethgblue.hubpages.com/hub/Pin … -God-Organ and keep it there.

First we must use the laws of attraction, intention and allowance to birth this New Paradigm and bring it forth (conception/birth) in harmony and ultimately balance.

Evolution is the state of love = tion (state of) U LOVE! spelled backwards!

Mom Kat has answered your question, so completely, that there is no need for me to   write more details upon this subject. The law of attractions exists as a part of Nature. It is, in fact, a law. In physics or chemistry, at the atomic level, we know that, "likes repel likes, and dislikes attract dislikes." It's a strange thing, the way subatomic particles behave, but I love science. We we take this law and apply it at a macroscopic level, things begin to get more interesting, as Mom Kat as so beautifully shared with us.

Well if you are talking about the law of attraction as in the used to be a "Secret", I can appreciate this point of view and I see nothing wrong with believing in this system (per-se)!  Why wouldn't one want to be positive and think positive in everything they do? Why would one want to be negative? It's such an ugly perspective (negativity) I think!

I just heard this quote the other day it goes something like so....., "watch what you say, for your words become actions, and your actions become your character, and your character is who you are"! (Mary Thatcher)

I hope we are on same page, but to me, the Law of Attraction is based mainly on the Law of Projection. In other words, the personality you project will dictate who you attract. Everyone is attracted to common ground; good or bad. Most people follow examples rather than personnas. Examples are much closer to the truth.
Something that attracts without promotion, is probably a good thing. How many times have we said the best advertising is word-of-mouth? Walk the talk. Agreat example of this is Alcoholics Anonymous. Their tradition is to be a program of attraction rather than promotion. You never see ads for AA and you never will. But there are millions of these people living normal or better lives than they ever did before.
A good product sells itself because of it's proven quality. People are the same.

      IDONO,

You have a veryu good point, I never thought of it like that, I believe that maybe that's the best explanation for the Law of Attraction.  So, thanks for the tip.
